Wednesday: Adventure Day Camp at Toltec Mounds will be July 12-14 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Cost is $53.75 per child. Kids ages 8-12 who enjoy energetic outdoor adventures are invited to take part in this camp. Day campers will participate in activities like kayaking, fishing, and hiking. Trips to Pinnacle Mountain State Park, Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center, and Heifer Village are also planned for the camp. Drinks, and snacks will be provided but campers will be responsible for bringing their own lunch. Reservations are required. Payment in advance confirms your reservation. Thursday: Teen painting will be held at the Lonoke Public Library at 2 p.m. in the train room.


Thursday: Kids Coding program at 4 p.m. at the Carlisle Public Library


Friday: Dig. Plant. Grow. will be at 1 p.m. at the Lonoke Public Library.


Saturday: A Fish supper and fundraiser will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Carlisle Masonic Lodge . The cost is $7 per person.


Sunday: Brownsville Baptist Church vacation bible school will be held July 16-20 at 6:30 p.m. A meal will be provided at 6 p.m. The Brownsville Baptist Church is located at the corner of Highway 31 North and Watson Rd.


Monday: There will be a children’s summer movie at 10 a.m. in the Children’s Department in the Lonoke Public Library.


Monday: The Lonoke School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the administration building.


Monday: The Cabot City Council will meet at 7 p.m. in the city Annex Building.


Monday: The Carlisle School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the administration building.


Tuesday: The Lonoke County Library board will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the England Library.


Tuesday: The Carlisle City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center.

July 24: Wii Play all day and all ages at the Carlisle Public Library


July 25: At 10 a.m. there will be an adult craft in the main lobby area of the Lonoke Public Library. Also, at 2 p.m. there will be a teen coding class in the train room.


July 26: Story time will be held for birth age to toddlers in the Children’s Department at the Lonoke Public Library at 10 a.m.


July 27: The American Legion Post 71 Meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Mini Mall 114 North 1st street in Cabot (Old Assessor’s Office)


July 28: Adult bingo will be held at 2 p.m. in the main lobby area at the Lonoke Public Library.


July 31: The Lower White River Museum State Park in Des Arc is hosting a free environmental education teacher workshop from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Participants will receive training in two internationally recognized environmental education programs – Project Learning Tree and Project WET. These programs provide respected and proven environmental education curricula that are approved by the Arkansas Department of Education and TAPP Registry for 6 hours of professional development credit.
