Sept. 3: Zion Hill Baptist Church is showing the inspirational movie, God’s Not Dead 2, at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3. The movie will be shown in the Fellowship Hall. There is no charge for admission. Sept. 9: Concord United Methodist Men’s group in Furlow is having their annual Classic Car Show from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Sept. 9: The 25th annual antique tractor and engine show will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Plantation Agriculture Museum in Scott. The museum invites all pre-1960s tractor exhibitors and hit-and-miss engines, along with those who love them. This event is a treat for all ages and draws out a large community of farmers, tractor owners, and spectators alike. The event is free for exhibitors and visitors. Oct. 7: Annabelle’s Anthem benefit dinner and silent action will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the St. Rose Parish Hall in Carlisle. Annabelle is the daughter of Trey and Lindy Hearn, who was recently diagnosed with ALL, a form of leukemia. Lindy is a sixth grade teacher at Carlisle Public Schools and Trey is a manager at Keo Fish Farm. Annabelle began treatment July 21, and will continue receiving treatment for the next two years. The public is invited to support the family in an evening of dinner, dancing and fun. Dinner will be catered by Harlan Caviness and Chuck Brown.
