Oct. 7: Annabelle’s Anthem benefit dinner and silent action will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the St. Rose Parish Hall in Carlisle. Annabelle is the daughter of Trey and Lindy Hearn, who was recently diagnosed with ALL, a form of leukemia. Lindy is a sixth grade teacher at Carlisle Public Schools and Trey is a manager at Keo Fish Farm. Annabelle began treatment July 21, and will continue receiving treatment for the next two years. The public is invited to support the family in an evening of dinner, dancing and fun. Dinner will be catered by Harlan Caviness and Chuck Brown. Oct. 28: The Carlisle Police and Fire departments will be hosting a public awareness event, in partnership with Atwoods and Dollar Tree from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Atwoods/Dollar Tree parking lot. Free food and entertainment will be provided. The public is invited to come and learn about the special election on Nov. 14.
