Ongoing: A Weight Watchers meeting is held every Tuesday at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 603 East Park in Carlisle. Weigh-in is at 5:30 p.m. followed by the meeting at 6 p.m. Registration requirements and more information will be provided at the meeting.
Thursday: Story Time with a rain theme at 10:30 a.m. at the Carlisle Public Library, followed by the America Saves program sponsored by BancorpSouth at 2 p.m.

Thursday: The Cabot Scholarship Foundation’s Roast & Toast Banquet will be held at 7 p.m. in the Cabot Junior High North cafeteria. The event recognizes students who are receiving scholarships from the foundation. Last year, the foundation awarded 119 Cabot High School seniors with $124,050 in scholarships.

March: 14: The AARP Drive Smart Course will be held at the Cabot United Methodist Church, 2003 S. Pine St. Class starts a t6 8:30 a.m. and will take four hours. The instructors are Deborah Landers and Jerry Yates. The cost of the course is $15 for AARP members and you must have your AARP card. Please bring a sweater or jacket as the room is usually cool. March 15: Feed Our Vets Cabot Pantry, helps Veterans and their families on the third Saturday of every month with non-perishable items and personal hygiene items that Vets that may be in need of assistance. They will be celebrating their Grand Opening at 10 a.m. at 214 Rainbow Drive. They will have coffee, snacks and giving tours of the pantry. April 21: The Lonoke Chamber of Commerce will host its 49th annual Lonoke Area Chamber of Commerce banquet in the Gina Cox Center. Details to be announced at a later date.
April 30: It’s almost Spring and that means it’s almost golf season. Criswell Robinson American Legion Post 71 will be hosting our 4th Annual Golf Tournament. It will be held at Rolling Hills Country Club on April 30 at 1 p.m. It’s a four person scramble with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes. Also an opportunity to win a 2018 Ford Vehicle, if you get a Hole in One on a designated hole, plus Closest to Pin Award and Longest Drive Award. Early registration is through April 27.
