Symphony concert set for ASU-Beebe
The Arkansas State University-Beebe Department of Music will present the symphonic band in concert on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Owen Center Theater on the Beebe campus.
Under the direction of Dr. Brent Bristow, the Symphonic Band will perform works by Richard Saucedo, Samuel Hazo, Alfred Reed, William Latham, James Swearingen, Robert W. Smith and Robert Sheldon.

AA meetings listed in Cabot
The Cabot chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous holds meetings several times a week.
Meetings on Tuesdays start at 8 p.m. and are closed. Thursday meetings start at 7 p.m. and are closed. Friday night meetings start at 8 p.m. and are open. A Saturday morning meeting is held at 10 a.m. and is open for its Big Book study.
All meetings are held at 609 North 3rd St. in Cabot.
Al-Ateen meetings are held each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. with Al-Anon meetings at 7 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 301 Pine St., Cabot.

Cabot Lions Club pancake breakfast is Saturday
The Cabot Lions Club will hold their annual pancake breakfast from 6-10 a.m. at the Cabot First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday.
Tickets are available from any Cabot Lions Club member or may be purchases at the door. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for kids 10 and under.
Carry out and to-go orders can be placed that morning or in advance by calling 501-920-2122. If delivery services for businesses only is requested, the Lions Club asks to remember to tip the delivery Lion.
Proceeds raised from this Cabot Lions Club event will go directly toward purchasing of eyeglasses for local school children, Lions World Services for the Blind, Mid-South Sight and Hearing Service, Arkansas Lions Eye Bank and Laboratory, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Cabot Lions Scholarship Fund, diabetes research and prevention, as well sponsorship of numerous scouting programs in the local community.
