Dr. Heather Moore of Cabot has joined the board of trustees at Williams Baptist College. Moore was recently elected to serve on the 24-member board.

Moore, a WBC alumnus, recently completed her MD at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and she is currently a chief resident at UAMS. She and her husband, Jacob, are members of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot.

Also beginning their terms on the board this year are Ken Brunt of Bryant, J.R. Cox of Walnut Ridge, Sue McGowan of Paragould and Larry Singleton of Paragould.

WBC board members are appointed by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, which owns and operates the college. Terms are for three years, and members may serve two consecutive terms before rotating off the board. In order to serve on the board, trustees must be members in good standing at an ABSC church.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
