This past Thursday, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m.

In attendance were: Alice King, Janet Ray, Ruby Kittell, Roy Kittell, Dorothy Williams, Sue Swayne, Dallas Swayne, Birtha Larkin, Mary Thate, Anita Weathers, Shirley Jackson, Jackie Maxwell, Stella Stout, Faye Guyot and David Neal.

Anita Weathers, opened with prayer and invited everyone to join her in saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing "God Bless America."

It was Surprise Gift Bag Bingo Day at the center. Everyone enjoyed their surprise gifts.

Next Thursday, the Rev. Matt Caton, pastor of Oak Grove Southern Baptist Church, will be our inspirational guest speaker.

Then on Thursday, Aug. 23, the famous Gospel Tones will be in concert at the Woodlawn Community Center, with their inspirational music.

Everyone is invited to the Thursday Woodlawn Community Center events at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North. Come early for a cup of coffee, and bring a dish for potluck.
