On Thursday, Nov. 1, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their doors at 10:30 a.m. Those attending the event were: Leon Hipplar, Doyle Anderson, Roger Sanders, Joyce Langkrahr, Fred Dollar, Ethel Martin, Martha Hicks, Sue Grady, Opal Burns, Martha Reagan, Jack Reagan, Mary Thate, Birtha Larkan, Jackie Maxwell. and Alice King.
George Wilson opened with prayer, remembering those on the sick list.
He had everyone recite the "Pledge of Allegiance,"and sing "God Bless America."
Ethel Martin sang, "God of the Mountain," "Help me on my journey, Lord,"and "I feel Him touching me, touching you."
"Amazing Grace, was sang by everyone, Ethel Martin accompanying on the guitar.
It was with great pleasure that Pastor Fred Dollar was our inspirational speaker. His sermon was taken from Luke 20, verses 1-20, "The vineyard."
Pastor Dollar gave the closing prayer and blessed the food for pot luck. Everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship.
Thursday, we will play gift bag bingo, a surprise gift in every bag, given as prizes.
Everyone is invited to attend this special event at 10070 Arkansas 31 North. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for pot luck.
