On Thursday Feb. 20, 2014, the Woodlawn Community Center opened its doors at 10:30 a.m. to 26 friends and neighbors.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the program, inviting attendees to join in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing "God Bless America," accompanied by Anita Weathers on piano.

Sue Swayne delivered the invocation, and everyone sang "Amazing Grace."

The Community Center’s guests for the day were Fred Staley and Lisa Thomas, playing and bringing older and forgotten songs back to life. It was an enjoyable day for everyone.

Fred Thomas blessed the potluck food. Everyone enjoyed dinner.

Next Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, the Woodlawn Community Center has invited Kerry Weathers to be there, presenting his songs and prayers for our enjoyment.

On March 8, 2014, 4:30-7 p.m., the Woodlawn Community Center will host a fundraiser Spaghetti Supper. The cost is $10.00 for all-you-can-eat spaghetti, salad, drinks and desserts. Larry Weathers and his band will entertain. Come for an evening of entertainment, food and fellowship at The Woodlawn Community Center, 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 North.
