Criswell-Robinson American Legion Post 71 will elect and install new officers during its June 28 meeting, post commander Arthur Mason announced recently.

He said, “This meeting will affect the direction of the Post for the coming year,” adding that members need to make an extra effort to attend this important meeting,

Mason also invited all veterans who are not members to come to the meeting.

The American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization. It is committed to mentoring youth, sponsoring wholesome programs in the community and advocating for patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security and continuing devotion to fellow service members and veterans, he said.

“Come and find out how you can be part of this work,” Mason said.

Post 71 meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month at the Cabot Mini Mall, 116 S. First St.
