According to information from the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office, a report of suspected child abuse led deputies to the arrests of a Cabot couple.

Napoleon Teixeira, 28, and his wife, Shayla Teixeira, 24, both of Cabot, appeared in Lonoke County Circuit Court on May 17, when bond on each was set.

Napoleon Teixeira, a level 2 sex offender, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of rape.

Shayla Teixeira was arrested on suspicion of two counts of rape, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts permitting abuse of a child.

The arrests came after a report was made, April 25, at the sheriff’s office about possible sexual abuse of two females, ages 3 and 4.
