Christmas for Kids, the annual collection of toys to ensure all children have gifts for Christmas, is in full swing, organizer Bill Holden said.

“The Christmas for Kids committee works side-by-side with the Cabot Christmas Alliance and their collection of food. We help families that need help during the Christmas holidays to make sure all children get toys, have a good Christmas and enjoy the spirit of the holiday,” Holden said.

Christmas for Kids needs donations of new toys, or the funds to buy them. All donations go to children who live in the Cabot School District, Holden said.

There will be drop boxes for toys at all Cabot School District campuses, and at Pine Street Animal Clinic, 803 South Pine; Fred’s, 207 South Second St.; and all Dollar General Stores in the school district area.

Donations of money can be mailed to: Christmas for Kids, 100 Gunsmoke Dr., Austin, 72007; or brought to the Cabot Schools Warehouse, 310 G.P. Murrell Dr., Cabot (in the Cabot Commerce Center, Arkansas Highway 367 north, between Cabot and Austin).

Anyone knowing of a family needing help with food and/or toys during the Christmas holiday can contact Terena Woodruff at 501-843-3363, ext. 1007.

To arrange a pickup of donated toys contact Holden or Rita Stewart at 501-743-3560, or Holden at 501-843-2152, or by contacting Randy Holden at 501-743-6171, or Shelley Montoya at 501-605-3403.

“Please help us help a child,” Holden said.
