It’s Esau Corn Time at the Wade Knox Children’s Advocacy Center of Lonoke County.

This annual event provides citizens of Lonoke County and beyond with the highest quality of corn that can be purchased.

Chester Esau of Esau’s Home Grown Corn, Dumas, has once again partnered with the WKCAC to support our event. The corn will be picked up early Friday morning, harvested fresh from the fields, and brought to the center at 1835 SW Front St. in Lonoke. Each bag of corn has 70 ears and the cost per bag is $24.

On July 11, the Center will offer the corn shucked and packaged freezer ready for $32 per bag. For your convenience, drive-thru service, plus loading in your vehicle, is offered.

The dates of the Esau Corn Event will be every Friday in the month of July starting with first pick up date July 11, 2013. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, July 11 Tuesday, July 8 by Noon

(Shuck Day)

Friday, July 18 Wednesday, July 16 by Noon

Friday, July 25 Wednesday, July 23 by Noon

Friday, Aug. 1 Wednesday, July 30 by Noon

All orders should be called in to the Center at 501-676-2552.

All proceeds from the Corn event will be utilized for the expansion of the Center and continued support and services to the child-victims and their non-offending families. As of this date in 2014, the Center has served 1,341 children and families and has provided 124 medicals. All services provided at the Center are offered at no cost to the child’s family.
