According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, four people died Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash in southwest Lonoke County.
The report said the accident occurred at about 9:10 p.m.; the location given is about midway between Keo and Scott on Arkansas Highway 165.
Marcus L. Hancock, 31; Jessica M. Sullivan, 31, Daquavion Keaton, 9, all of North Little Rock; and Sonya E. Wiggins, 42, of Woodson died in the crash.
According to the report, Wiggins, driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR, was southbound on Arkansas Highway 165.
Hancock, driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, with passengers Sullivan and Keaton, was northbound on Arkansas Highway 165.
The report states that Wiggins crossed the roadway centerline into the northbound lanes, striking Hancock’s vehicle head-on.
Both vehicles caught fire. The occupants of both vehicles were trapped.
The report described the conditions as clear and dry.
Lonoke County Coroner Sherry Stracener and deputy coroner James Pearson responded to the accident. Stracener said the death pronouncement was made at 9:50 p.m.
The report states that the bodies were taken to the Arkansas Crime Laboratory.
