Joyful Christmas caroling set for Friday quickly turned to somber remembrance after the news of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting deaths. Ronda Eddy, who organized the caroling, said she could not go on with the singing and instead called on people to gather at the City Hall fountain for a candlelight prayer vigil to remember the victims and the families torn apart. Sydnee and Tabatha Fikes take part in the vigil with parents Tiffany and John Fikes, along about 50 other people. Photo Ed Galucki
