A host of elected and appointed officials including senators, congressmen, mayors and others gathered at Ward on Friday for the ceremonial groundbreaking of the Lonoke White Water Project. The $45 million project will build a system to treat and deliver water from Greers Ferry Lake to users as far south as Furlow. Some of those putting shovels to dirt were, from left, U.S. Sen.
