The Lonoke Department of Public Works Committee at its Monday meeting heard reports about recent purchases and repairs of equipment.
Director Brian Whitworth said the department has purchased a new pole saw that is used to cut tree limbs, repaired one backhoe, is in the process of getting a truck repaired, has rebuilt the main cylinder on another backhoe and has installed new hoses on both the sewer machine and sewer truck.
Whitworth also said one aerator was installed and controls for another aerator are being completed while waiting for it to be delivered to the shop.
The department did a full system flush on all the fire hydrants in May. Administrative Assistant Michelle Scrimsher said the department didnít receive any dirty water calls during the flush.
