The 50th annual Arkansas Soybean Association business session and seminar will be 9 a.m. to mid-afternoon, Tuesday, Jan. 28, at the Grand Prairie Center, 2709 U.S. Highway 165, at Stuttgart. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Lunch will be provided by the Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board.

The program will include an American Soybean Association legislative update; an Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board report; a discussion on biodiesel; and panel discussions on the Race for 100 Soybean Yield Contest and Grow for the Green Soybean Yield Challenge.

Speakers include Danny Murphy, American Soybean Association chairman Danny Murphy; Shannon Davis, Arkansas Soybean Promotion Board chairman Shannon Davis; and Robert Stobaugh, director of the National Biodiesel Board/United Soybean Board.

During the Soybean Association business session of membership will include recognition of the winners in the 2013 Grow for the Green Yield Challenge and the Race for 100 Bushels/Acre winners: Nelson Crow, Matt and Sherrie Miles, Eddie Tackett. The 2014 DuPont Young Leader, Adam Cloninger from England will also be recognized.

Ag business representatives will be available for questions.

There will be a live auction to raise funds for special projects.
