The Cabot Chamber held a ribbon cutting for the Safe Haven Thrift Store on Dec. 6. Chamber members, city and county officials along with Safe Haven Executive Director Brenda Reynolds, board president Linda Campbell, board vice-president Brenda Baldwin, board members Mary Ann Taft and Tina Harris, thrift store manager Julie Buchannan and her daughter Shelly Clopper and her granddaughter Saydee, 6 weeks old, attended the ribbon cutting. The thrift store, located at 114 A. North 1st St., sells all clothes for only a $1 and specialty items at different prices. The thrift store benefits Safe Haven, a women’s shelter.
