Wilma Louise Welch Strube of Cabot died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. She was born to Alonzo Rivers and Macie Magdeline (Slayter) Welch in Dry Prong, La., on Feb. 5, 1935. She worked her way up to head bookkeeper for Harold Gwatney at Citizen’s National Bank, she retired after many years of service. She was a faithful member of Landmark Missionary Baptist church for 40 years and, more recently, Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Doug Strube and wife Marcia; daughters, Pam Busch and husband John, Brenda Edwards and husband Greg and Twila Kaseberg and husband Deron; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
A celebration service was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot with Pastor David Mitchell officiating. Burial was in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
