The Cabot Lady Panthers cross-country team won the 7A-Central meet for the second consecutive season.
The Lady Panthers scored 33 points. Mount St. Mary was second with 37, followed by 3. North Little Rock 67, 4. Conway 80, and 5. Little Rock Central, 131.
Cabot was paced by Micah Huckabee, who won the race with a time of 19 minutes, 31.08 seconds. Marlene Sheehan was third with a time of 20:11.32. Meagan Duncan was ninth at 21:17.01. Samantha Nickell was 10th at 21:17.91.
Rachel Murtishaw was 13th at 21:31.88. Ashley Gore was 28th at 23:36.67. Lexi Morrison was 30th at 23:52.23.Lexie McKedy was 34th at 24:12.54. Ashley Odom was 38th at 24:56.17. Lauren Backus was 45th at 25:37.69.
The Cabot Panthers finished second in the boys meet with 62 points. Little Rock Catholic won the event with 20 points.
North Little Rock was third with 84 points, followed by 5. Fort Smith Southside 115; 6. Fort Smith Northside, 186; 7. Little Rock Central, 195.
Cabot’s Scott Foltz was third with a time of 16:33.70. Lee Sullivan was fifth at 16:43.57.
Madison McGregor was 19th at 18:01.83. Ian McDonald was 20th at 18:08.63. Kris White was 32nd at 18:39.71. Seth Fox was 39th at 19:06.60. Nick Brekken was 48th at 19:24.59. Chris Strong was 53rd at 19:33.79.
The state cross-country meets are Saturday at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs. The Class 7A boys race starts at 10:15 a.m. while the girls race starts at 10:45 a.m.
