BEEBE ó Cabot Centennial Bank One scored four runs in the top of the fifth en route to a 7-3 win over Beebe in junior American Legion baseball action Saturday.
Cabot took a 1-0 lead in the third inning. Landon James doubled and scored when Gavin Tillery reached on an error.
After a scoreless fourth, Cabot responded with the big fifth inning. Dylan Bowlers led off with a single and eventually scored on an error. Lee Sullivan walked and scored on a single by Tillery. James singled and scored on a single by Brandon Jones. Tillery then scored on a passed ball.
Cabotís sixth run came in the top of the sixth. John Van Hoveln struck out but reached first on the dropped third strike. He scored on a ground out by Bowers.
Beebe tried to come back in the bottom of the sixth, scoring two runs to cut Cabotís lead to 6-2. Cabot answered with another run in the seventh. Coleman McAtee walked and scored on a single by Van Hoveln.
Beebe plated a run in the bottom of the seventh.
Cabot 9, Conway 3
Cabot Centennial Bank One routed Conway 9-3 on Friday at the Cabot Ball Park.
Cabot took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. With one out, Coleman McAtee walked and scored on a double by Glover Helpenstill.
Conway took a 2-1 lead with two runs in the bottom of the frame. Cabot quickly regained control with six runs in bottom of the second to lead 7-2.
Dalten Hurst led off with a double and scored on a hit by Eric Pique. Austin Null followed with a single, driving in Pique. Jonathan Latture then reached on an error. Null scored on a ground out by Riley Knudsen. Coleman McAtee followed with a single to score Latture. McAtee scored on a single by Tristan Bulice, who eventually scored on a single by Hurst.
Conway scored its third run in the fourth inning. Cabot put the game away with two runs in the sixth. Knudsen singled and McAtee walked. They both scored on a single by Lee Sullivan.
Cabot finished the game with 12 hits. Bulice, Helpenstill, and Hurst had two hits each. Collecting one hit each were Knudsen, McAtee, Sullivan, Pique, Null and Latture.
Adam Hicks got the win for Cabot. He pitched six innings, striking out 10 while allowing only one earned run. He gave up four hits.
Cabot 4, LR Blue 3
Cabot scored a run in the bottom of the sixth to beat Little Rock Blue 4-3 on June 13.
The score was tied 3-3 after Little Rock scored three times in the top of the sixth and final inning.
With one out in the bottom of the sixth, Cabotís Gavin Tillery singled and went to third on a double by Jonathan Latture. Tillery then scored on a ground out by Adam Hicks to win the game.
Cabot scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Scoring in the third was Latture. Eric Pique scored in the fourth while Riley Knudsen scored in the fifth.
Knudsen got the win, striking out 11 in six innings of work.
LR Express 7, Cabot 4
Little Rock Express held off Cabot for a 7-4 win June 13.
Little Rock led 4-0 after two innings.
Cabot scored four runs in the bottom of the third to cut the deficit to 5-4. That was as close as Cabot would get.
Scoring were Jonathan Latture, Coleman McAtee, Dalten Hurst and Brandon Jones.
Jacksonville 4, Cabot 1
Jacksonville scored four runs in the top of the second en route to a 4-1 win over Cabot last week.
Cabotís lone run came in the bottom of the third. Tristan Bulice singled and scored.
