After starting the season 0-6, Cabot Centennial Bank has won three in a row in Senior American Legion baseball action.

Centennial Bank (3-6) knocked off Hot Springs Lakeside 10-7 on June 6, Sylvan Hills 18-8 on June 6 and Jacksonville 14-0 on Thursday.

Cabot 10, Lakeside 7

Centennial Bank scored seven runs in the final three innings to beat Hot Springs Lakeside 10-7.

Centennial Bank led 3-1 after three innings, scoring once in the second and twice in the third. T.C. Carter doubled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Justin Goff in the second.

In the third, Bryson Morris singled with two outs and scored on a triple by Casey Vaughan, who eventually scored on a wild pitch.

Centennial Bank plated three runs in the top of the fifth to lead 6-1. Scott Burnett was hit by a pitch and scored on a single by Vaughan. Morris singled and scored on a single by Brandon Surdam. Vaughan scored on a single by Carter.

Lakeside scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to cut the deficit to 6-4. Centennial Bank responded with three runs in the top of the sixth. Grant Bell, Bryson Morris and Vaughan scored on a double by Surdam.

Centennial Banks’ final run came in the seventh. Goff doubled and scored on a wild pitch.

Cabot 18, Sylvan Hills 8

After giving up two runs in the top of the first against Sylvan Hills, Centennial Bank responded the best way any team could.

Centennial Bank scored eight runs in the bottom of the frame en route to an 18-8 win over the Bruins.

Bryson Morris and Casey Vaughan both singled to start the bottom of the first. Brandon Surdam then hit a three-run homer to give his team the lead.

Centennial Bank scored five more runs in the inning. T.C. Carter, Justin Goff, Chip Morris, Scott Burnett and Tyler Wilkie each scored.

Centennial Bank scored once in the second to lead 9-2. Goff singled and scored when Chip Morris reached on an error.

The Bruins scored twice in the third and four times in the fourth to cut the deficit to 9-8. Centennial Bank scored once in the fourth. Wilkie reached on an error and scored when Surdam reached on a fielder’s choice.

Centennial Bank put the game away with six runs in the bottom of the fifth. Carter led off with a solo homer. Also scoring were Bryson Morris, Goff, Cole Thomas, Chip Morris and Burnett.

Centennial Bank scored three more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Thomas walked and Chip Morris reached on an error. They both scored on a double by Bryson Morris. Wilkie walked and scored on a sacrifice fly by Casey Vaughan.

Cabot 14, Jacksonville 0

Centennial Bank pitcher Ryan Logan threw a six-inning complete-game shutout in beating Jacksonville 14-0 on Thursday.

Logan allowed only six hits. He did not allow a walk. He struck out four in the win.

Centennial Bank scored two runs in the first. Bryson Morris was hit by a pitch and scored on a passed ball. Casey Vaughan singled and scored on a ground out by T.C. Carter.

After a scoreless second, Centennial Bank scored twice in the third. Vaughan walked and scored on a two-run homer by Carter.

Centennial Bank scored four times in the fourth. Vaughan hit a grand slam. Scoring on the play were Chip Morris, Tristan Bulice and Bryson Morris.

Centennial Bank scored once in the fifth. Justin Goff singled and scored on a wild pitch.

Centennial Bank scored five runs in the sixth. Scoring were Vaughan, Brandon Surdam, Carter, Goff, and Cole Thomas.
