The Cabot White Centennial Bank junior legion team dropped a pair of games last week in a doubleheader against the North Little Rock Colts.

Cabot fell 10-9 in the first game in a heartbreaker on North Little Rock’s last at bat, and dropped the second game 6-4.

Centennial fell behind 7-6, but came back in the top of the fourth to take a 9-7 lead.

Jess Reed led off the fourth with a walk, stole second and later scored on a hit by Tyler Fowler. Fowler also drove in Ethan Smith, who reached on an error.

Fowler also took second to get in scoring position, then advanced to third on a grounder. Logan Edmondson also grounded out, but drove in Fowler to give Cabot a 9-7 lead.

The next two at-bats were uneventful for both teams, but North Little Rock came back in the bottom of the fifth. A triple and single cut the lead to 9-8, followed by a hit batter and another triple that drove in two runs to give the Colts the win.

In the second game, Cabot fell behind 4-1 in the first inning and could never quite get back to even with North Little Rock. Collin Thames had a two-run single in the loss, while Fowler had an RBI single and also scored a run. Christian Gartman walked and scored for Cabot.
