Agnes Drotar Fowler, 85, of Hot Springs (and a resident of Chambers Nursing Home) died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012. She was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Slovak to John and Mary Drotar.

She was a registered nurse, graduating from St. Bernardís School of Nursing in Jonesboro. She worked at various hospitals in Arkansas, her latest one being St. Vincentís Infirmary, where she was head of surgery nurses. After she retired, she worked with her husband in his dentist office in Mount Ida and Hot Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James M. Fowler; and a brother, Robert John Drotar.

Survivors include nieces, Paula Coburn and husband Bill of Stuttgart and Karen Fitts and husband Dusty of Hot Springs; and nephews, Terry Drotar and wife Gayle of Collierville, Tenn., and John Drotar and wife Pam of Slovak.

A funeral was held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak. Burial was in Slovak Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak.
