The Carlisle Lady Bison improved to 7-4 on the season and 4-1 in 2A-6 play with wins over Clarendon and Marvell.

Carlisle beat Clarendon 57-34 on Monday night and Marvell 54-11 on Friday.

In the win over the Lady Lions, Carlisle led 16-10 after the first quarter and 33-26 at halftime. The Lady Bison pulled away in the second half, outscoring Clarendon 24-8 in the final 16 minutes.

Faith Walker led Carlisle with 27 points — 20 coming in the first half. Breanna Young had eight. Presley Carter added seven. Callie Hillman had six. Hannah Cooper and Sloane Henderson scored four points each while Nicole Ring scored three.

In the win over Marvell, the Lady Bison led 25-4 after one quarter and 42-6 at halftime.

Walker led Carlisle with 18 points. Young had nine. Hillman and Henderson had seven points each. Cooper had six. Gennie Bariola had three. Carter and Kim Lott had two points each.

Bison drop two

The Carlisle Bison fell to 3-3 on the season with losses to Clarendon and Marvell in the past week.

The Lions knocked off the Bison 76-50 on Monday and the Mustangs won 79-73 in a shootout Friday.

In the loss to Clarendon, the Bison trailed 21-14 at halftime and 4626 at halftime.

Austin Reed led the Bison with 17 points. Chris Hart had nine. Dathan Hill, Justice Bryant and Nick Schafer had five points each. Clayvon Edwards had four. Braden Reed added three. Deron Ricks scored two.

In the loss to Marvell, the Bison trailed 20-13 after one quarter but led 31-28 at halftime.

Austin Reed led Carlisle with 23 points. Ricks had 12. Braden Reed and Edwards scored 11 points each. Hill added eight. Hart scored five while Bryant added three.

In junior boys action, Carlisle lost to Clarendon 36-27 and Marvell 60-52

Against Clarendon, Brynden Weems led Carlisle with 10 points. Devon Kendrick and C.J. Harris scored five points each. Riley Parker had three. Dominic Castleberry scored two while Garnell Harris added a free throw.

In the loss to Marvell, Kendrick and Weems led the Junior Bison with 14 points each. Austin Wolfe had eight. Garnell Harris seven. Brent Bowlan and Gray Amaden scored three points each. Drake Adams scored two while Castleberry added a free throw.
