For 14 minutes and eight seconds, the Carlisle Bison were in control of their first round regional game with Poyen. However, things went awry quickly before halftime.

The Bison led 26-19 following a three-pointer by Chris Hart with 1:52 left in the first half. From there, Poyen took control of the game, en route to a 63-51 win over the Bison at Bison Arena on Feb. 21.

The Indians scored the final nine points of the first half to lead 28-26.

Poyen then scored the first four points of the second half to lead 32-26 before Deron Ricks hit two free throws for the Bison with 5:28 left to make the score 32-28.

From there, Poyen scored six in a row, pushing their lead to 38-28 with 4:13 left.

Carlisle tried to keep it close, trailing 43-36 after three quarters.

Poyen scored the first five points of the fourth quarter before the Bison pulled to within eight at 50-42 on a basket by Hart with 5:57 left.

The Bison then pulled to within seven at 56-49 with 2:42 left after a three-point play by Austin Reed and four consecutive points by Deron Ricks.

From there, the Indians outscored the Bison 7-2 to end the game.

Hart led the Bison with 13 points. Austin Reed had 12. Ricks added 10. Chris Clayvon Edwards and Braden Reed had six points each. Dathan Hill added four.
