The Carlisle Bison improved to 4-2 in 2A-6 play with a doubleheader sweep of the Clarendon Lions on Friday.

Carlisle won the first game 14-0 and the nightcap 24-0.

In the first game, Jacob Gordon got the win, allowing no runs on one hit. He struck out eight in five innings of work.

Carlisle scored four runs in the first inning. Josh Mathis led off with a single and scored. Tyler Young walked and scored. Gordon and Nick Schafer both reached on errors and scored.

The Bison plated five runs in the second. Scoring were Bradley Elder, Maths, Young, Gordon and Schafer, who had a three RBI triple in the frame.

Bison scored five times in the fifth. The same five people scored, which included a two-run homer by Josh Mathis.

In the second game, Mathis threw a three-inning no-hitter. He struck out six in the win.

The Bison scored 17 runs in the first inning. Scoring were Mathis, Young, Gordon, Schafer, Dylan Brazeal, Jaden Daniels, Jacob Cagle, Thomas McCallie and Chance Richards.

Carlisle travels to Hazen today for a doubleheader.
