Today: The Woman Can Run Clinic has begun in Lonoke. This clinic is free to the participants. However, people do need to register at www.womenrunarkansas.net. The clinic in Lonoke will be Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 pm. There are walkers, beginning runners, advanced and intermediate groups.

Monday: The Carlisle Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon in the board room at the Civic Center.

Monday: The Lonoke City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the court room at City Hall.

Monday: The Carlisle School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the board room at the Superintendents Office.

Tuesday: The Carlisle Public Library will do an elementary story time "dirt movers" at 10 a.m. at the Carlisle Public Library.

Wednesday: There will be a Dirt Movers toddler time at 10 a.m. at the public library.

June 18: The Carlisle Public Library will have elementary story time "in the garden" at 10 a.m. at the library.

June 18: The Carlisle City Council will meet at 6 p.m. in the board room at the Civic Center.

June 19: There will be a dinosaurs toddler time at 10 a.m. at the Carlisle Public Library.

June 20: A summer reading program "spoon man" will begin at 5 p.m. in the Carlisle City park at the stage. Bring a lawn chair.

June 24: The Lonoke School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the administration building.

June 25: The Carlisle Public Library will host a Gnomes and party at 10 a.m. for elementary age children at the library. All book logs and work pages must be completed and turned in as well as gnome photos submitted. There will be an adult garden party at 5:15 p.m. at the library.

June 26: The Carlisle Public Library will have gnome toddler time at 10 a.m.

Aug. 10: The grand opening of the Gina Cox Center at Lonoke High School will be held at 3 p.m. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.
