The time is almost here for the biggest event to hit the city of Lonoke in many years.
The Class 4A state basketball tournament starts Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the first of six games that day. Six more games will start at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 6.
Four games will be held on Friday, March 7, starting at 4 p.m.
The semifinals will be held in two sessions on Saturday, March 8. The sessions start at noon and 6 p.m.
General admission is $6.
School will also dismiss at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday through March 7.
The Lonoke basketball teams are playing in the regional tournament this week at Clinton. If they win their first round games, they will play in the state tournament next week.
If the Lonoke boys make the state tournament, they could play at these times: Wednesday, 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.; March 6, 2:30 p.m.; March 7, 5:30 p.m.
If the Lonoke girls make the state tournament, they could play at these times: Wednesday, 1 p.m.; Wednesday, 4 p.m.; March 6, 1 p.m.; March 7, 4 p.m.
