A brief EF0 tornado touched down Wednesday in the southern Lonoke County community of Blakemore, according to the National Weather Service.

No damage was reported because the twister developed in open fields, according to the NWS official Twitter feed, but video evidence of the tornado was captured.

EF0 is the lowest ranking on the scale used to assess tornadoes. It is associated with wind speeds of 65-85 mph.

The Weather Service has been sending survey crews across the state looking for damage after a chain of storms — some of which became severe — blew through the state Wednesday evening.

They have also determined that a brief EF1 tornado struck Clarendon in Monroe County, resulting in numerous downed trees and power lines and some structural damage, according to the NWS website. Another tornado was seen crossing Interstate 55 near the Jericho exit in Crittenden County.
