Starting Jan. 14, 2013, the Lonoke School district will begin its Homework Hotline. The Homework Hotline will be open from 3:45–6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Homework Hotline will be housed on our Carver Campus located at 500 East Locust. The center will be staffed with licensed teachers that will be there to answer the phone for students that may need assistance with homework in grades K-12. All students will need to do is call one of the following numbers to be connected with a teacher to help provide assistance with homework:

501-676-1074 or 501-676-1071

The center will also be open until 5:45 p.m. for students to be tutored and receive help with homework. Students will be allowed to ride the bus over to the Carver Campus after school. Students will need to ride bus number 22 (the next to the last bus in the line-up). If you plan on your student participating in our on-site tutoring, they will need to complete an authorization/contact sheet available at their school; this form must be signed by the parent and the student’s principal. The form will be their pass to get on the bus and ride to the homework hotline center, but also provide communication between the teachers and you, the parent.

Please have students picked up no later than 6 p.m. There will be a $5 charge for every 10 minutes past pick up time a student is picked up to help off-set the cost of holding personnel late. Report cards will not be released at the end of the year until all fines are paid. Please note that there will be no transportation home provided by the school for these students.

All of these services are free of charge to you. Lonoke School District looks forward to working in this new endeavor to help our students succeed! If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Rather at 501-676-2042.
