SEARCY —For a half, the Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits were able to keep pace with Hot Springs in the Riverview Classic on Saturday. However, the Lady Trojans pulled away for a 55-34 win.

Lonoke led 15-11 late in the first quarter and trailed 27-23 at halftime.

Hot Springs scored the first four points of the half to lead 31-23. Lonoke’s Kerasha Johnson and Haiden Jeter each scored two points to cut the deficit to 31-27. From there, the Lady Trojans went on a 9-0 run before Eboni Willis hit a jumper with 1:25 left. Hot Springs then scored the final three points of the quarter to lead 43-29.

Hot Springs’ largest lead was 22 points at 55-33. Lonoke’s Jeni Rooney then hit 1 of 2 free throws with 0.3 seconds left to account for the final score.

Willis led Lonoke with 14 points. Johnson had six. Callie Whitfield added five. Amanda Sexton scored four. Jeter and Riely Rowton had two points each. Rooney added a free throw.

Lady Rabbits 62, Lady Falcons 52

The Lonoke Lady Jackrabbits knocked off North Pulaski 62-52 on Friday.

Lonoke led 18-9 after one quarter and 34-19 at halftime.

Kerasha Johnson led Lonoke with 33 points, eight rebounds, six steals and six assists. Eboni Willis scored 11 points. Callie Whitfield added nine. Amanda Sexton had five. Haiden Jeter scored four.

Jr. Lady Rabbits 37, Jr. Dragonettes 26

Lonoke held off DeWitt for a 37-26 win last week.

Lonoke led 36-13 after three quarters.

Ashlyn Allen led Lonoke with 14 points. Jarrelyn McCall had 10. Brooke Jackson scored six. Annie Whisnant had five. Kimistri Balance scored two.
