Strawberries grown in Cabot and Lonoke County were celebrated at the 2017 Strawberry Festival, hosted by Cabot Junior Auxiliary,Thursday, Friday and Saturday. However, Saturday’s threat of severe weather may have kept many people at home on what was hoped to the high attendance day, Melissa Davis, JA Strawberry Festival chairman, said. Saturday’s entertainment was curtailed, with the leading edge of the storm striking minutes after performer Barrett Baber left the stage.
