On Thursday, May 25, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their doors at 10:30 a.m. for their weekly community events.


Those attending were: Anita Weathers, Jackie Maxwell, Cecelia Anderson, Doyle Anderson, Marilyn Lewis, Andy Childers, Dorothy Henry, Sue Grady, Janet Ray, David Hawkins, Jeff Welch, Gladys Williams, Bobby James, Richard Covert, Harvey Brown and Dorothy Williams.


President Cecelia Anderson opened the program by having the attendees recite the “Pledge of Allegiance,” and singing “Gold Bless America.”


Janet Ray gave the invocation, thanking God for our many blessings and praying for those that are sick and unable to attend.


She also blessed the food, as today was “Play Games” and visit day. Different Games were played Mexican Dominoes was one enjoyable game along with “Canasta.”


Jeff Welch from “The Master Gardeners,” worked in the “Woodlawn Gardens,” adding mulch to help control the weeds. We appreciated his visit.


This Thursday, June 1, Pastor W.C. Willis and his wife will be our guest. They will present an outstanding program at the Woodlawn Community Center, 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 north.


Everyone is invited to come visit and to bring a friend. Bring a dish for pot luck, along with a good appetite.
