On Thursday July 6, The Woodland Community Center opened their doors at 10:30 a.m. for their weekly community events.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the event by having all 20 attendees recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing God Bless America.

Louise Crabtree gave the invocation. Praying for Anita Weathers recovering from heart surgery, and is still in the hospital. Prayers were also said for Mary Thate, Mary Beth Farestar who are still on our sick recovery list.

The day was spent playing game, or just visiting. Most talk was telling about their big gardens and canning their produce.

It was time for dinner, Louise Crabtree blessed the food. A great dinner was enjoyed by the Woodlawn bunch and everyone gained a pound or two.

This Thursday, July 13, Pastor Eddie Branch and his daughter will be our special guest, bringing a wonderful religious program. We are sending invitations to everyone to attend this special program at the Woodlawn Community Center, 10070 Highway 31 north. Remember the program starts at 10:30 a.m. Bring a surprise pot luck.
