On Thursday, July 13, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their doors at 10:30 a.m. for their weekly community events.

President Cecelia Anderson opened the event by having Birtha Larkin, Mary Thate, C.L. Ott, Brenda Ott, Roy Kittell, David Neal, Louise Crabtree, Mary Beth Farrester, Carol McArthur, Jeff Welch, Marilyn Lewis, Jackie Maxwell, Pastor Eddie Bunch, Lewis Bunch, Marya Bunch, Dorothy Henry and Dorothy Williams recite “The Pledge of Allegiance,” and sing “God Bless America.”

Prayers were said for our faithful friend Anita Weathers recovering from heart surgery. She is home, but needs more recovery time.

After Amazing Grace was sang, Pastor Eddie Bunch, his daughter Marya Bunch, and son Lewis Bunch presented a wonderful, religious musical program.

Jeff Welch from the Master Gardeners’ weeded the Woodlawn Gardens. We welcome his help.

Last Wednesday, July, 12, 12 members from the Woodawn Community Center ate dinner at Martha Jeans’ in Beebe, Arkansas. Everyone enjoyed their dinner.

Come join us every Thursday at the Woodlawn Community Center, 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 north.

Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for pot luck.
