Thursday: Story Time will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Carlisle Public Library, followed by a Kids 4-H Program at 4 p.m.


Thursday: The Lonoke Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon in the depot. Lunch will be provided for $10.


Saturday: Plantation Agriculture Museum State Park will have homemade soap making classes at 9 a.m. on Nov. 4 and again on Nov. 18. Participants will each receive a pamphlet of soap recipes, several bars of soap, and memories to take home. Please bring an apron or clothing which will cover your arms and legs and wear close-toed shoes. This workshop may be attended by ages 18 and up, while ages 16 to 17 are required to be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and reservations are required. Tuesday: Genealogy Program will be at 10 a.m. at the Carlisle Public Library, followed by Adult/Teen “Pinch of This” food Program at 4 p.m.

Nov 10: All Lonoke County Library System Branches will be closed in observance of Veteran’s Day


Nov. 10: The Carlisle School District will be hosting a Veteran’s Day Breakfast and Ceremony starting at 8:05 a.m. in the high school cafeteria. Veterans and Spouses welcome.


Nov. 10: The city of Carlisle in partnership with American Legion Post 133 will be hosting a Veteran’s Day ceremony for all armed forces at 11 a.m. at the Carlisle City Park. Nov. 12: Sue Dodge will be in concert at Zion Hill Baptist Church at 10:55 a.m. Mark your calendars now and invite your friends to come see, and hear, Sue Dodge in concert. A popular regular on the Gaither Homecoming videos and concerts, Sue will be singing during the morning worship service. There is no charge for this event. A love offering will be received. The church is located on Zion Hill Road near the intersection of Highway 89 and 107, approximately 7 miles west of Cabot.
