The Lonoke City Council met in a short meeting last week, to discuss changing the city’s IT provider. Pat Howell and Woody Evans were absent from the meeting.
With the city’s current contract with Anyway Computers of Wynne to expire Dec. 31, two bids for a new provider were presented to the council.
The lowest bid with a one year contract was from Network Services Group of North Little Rock with a $1,615 monthly charge and the highest bid was from PC Assistance of Little Rock with a monthly charge of $1,642.50.
By unanimous vote, the council accepted the lowest bid of $1,615 per month from Network Service Group of North Little Rock.
The next regularly scheduled council meeting will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 8 at city hall.
