Lonoke District Court, Southern District Judge Teresa Smith announces an amnesty program that will begin in February.
Court will be held from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. on Feb. 2, for the Lonoke District located at 107 W. 2nd St., Lonoke. On Feb. 23, court will be held from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. for Carlisle District Court located at 120 W. Main St. and from 1:30-3:30 p.m. for England District Court, located at 110 NW 2nd St.
You must be present to be eligible. If you have outstanding warrants in the Lonoke District Court, Southern District those warrants will be quashed and you will be cited back to court without being arrested.
You must go to the court in which you have the active warrant. For example if it is for Failure to Appear from Lonoke District Court must go to Lonoke District Court on Feb. 2 at 9:30 a.m.
If you have an active warrant for the following, you can come in to speak with the Judge about your specific situation without fear of being arrested.
- Failure to Appear
- Failure to Pay Court Order Fines
- Failure to Serve Community service
- Failure to Serve Jail Time
The individual must provide photo identification; provide current address and phone number.
Lastly, bring money to pay on or pay balance of past due fines.
