On Thursday, Jan. 25, The Woodlawn Community Center opened their doors at 10:30 a.m. for their Weekly Community Events.


Janet Ray opened the the program by having 16 Attendees recite the “Pledge of Allegiance,”and sing ” God Bless America,” Carol McArthur gave the invocation, praying for Anita Weathers, Mary Thate, Cecelia Anderson, Dorothy Henry and Sue Grady that are on the Center’s sick list. Wishing God’s blessing on everyone.


After singing “Amazing Grace,” Janet introduced our guest of honor, Pastor Woody Evans, from Brownsville Baptist Church, Lonoke, Ar. “The World needs to go back to basics, with our Shepard “Jesus Christ.” was the topic of his sermon. Pastor Evans blessed the dinner, everyone enjoyed the fellowship and their meal.


This Thursday, Feb.1, Kern Kennedy and his “Camp Ground Express Band,” will present a great program by bringing back to life, older songs. Kern, also plays keyboard with the “Pacers.” We are thankful for our Community Center, and wish more of our friends and neighbors could attend and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. We are located at 10070, Arkansas Highway 31 north, in a newly remodeled School and Community Center. Come early for a cup of coffee and bring a dish for pot luck.
