Benny and Rose (Jackson) Dugger celebrated their Golden Anniversary on Feb. 10 at Taylor Farm’s Event Center in Jacksonville with family and friends.


Dinner was catered by Bubba’s Southern Bar-B-Que.


The couple was married on Feb. 17, 1968 at Sharp Methodist Church in Batesville.


Rose grew up outside of Batesville in an area known as “Skillet” to the locals. She was an optician and retired from Arkansas Optical after 27 years. Benny was from Newark. After 35 years, he retired from Union Pacific Railroad as a carman.


After getting married, they originally lived in North Little Rock. In 1985, they moved to Furlow area outside of Lonoke where they currently reside with their dog Missy and horses Hawk and Katie. They enjoy spending time at horse camp, attending ballgames with the grandkids, and spending time with family and friends.


They have two sons – Eddie (Karon) from Furlow and Greg (Sally) from Lonoke. They have four grandchildren (Lance, Baileigh, Zach, and Slayden).
