Preparation for the upcoming circus was discussed on Monday, during the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
The chamber will be hosting the circus on April 30 at the Carlisle Elementary School Playground. Show times will be at 5 p.m. and against 7:30 p.m. Pres-old tickets will go on sale at the beginning of April.
Advance tickets are $10 per adult and $7 for senior citizens and children 12 and under. Two and under get in free. Once tickets go on sale, they will be available for purchase in Carlisle at Shelter Insurance, BancorpSouth Bank, Bank of England, Studio T Salon, Glover Insurance, City Market and Chambers Nursing Home. In Lonoke, tickets will be available for purchase at Glovers insurance and the Wade Knox Center in Lonoke. Tickets can also be available at City Market in Hazen. Presale tickets will be available at these locations and reduced price through April 29.
At the door, tickets will be $13 per adult and $8 for senior citizens and children tickets. Business sponsorship opportunities for the circus will be available for $50. For more information about sponsorship, contact Vic Seidenschwarz at 870-552-5925.
In other chamber business, members approved to host a giveaway for a circus family pack in the upcoming weeks.
During his city update, Carlisle Mayor Ray Glover said little league is underway with 140 kids signed up. He said the city just renewed its lease with the school for the ball field and maintenance is underway at Rockefeller park. In addition, Glover said the fire department will be purchasing a brush truck and upgrading. Glover also said Nick’s has moved into the new building and are now open.
“Carlisle is really lucky to have a place like that,” Glover said.
He encouraged anyone that hasn’t visited the new restaurant to stop by for a visit.
The next Carlisle Chamber of Commerce meeting will be at noon, April 9 at the Civic Center.
