Music flowed as customers and employees dance the morning away at Lonoke Wal-Mart’s grand reopening celebration event on March 30.
To celebrate the completion of the remodel of Wal-Mart in Lonoke, the store threw a party for its customers. Activities included music, vendors, and food. In addition, the Lonoke Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting that morning, in conjunction with the grand reopening, in light of new renovations and updates to the store.
“Customer should expect a brighter more open the store,” Wal-Mart Store Manager Carl Morris said on Friday. “A better apparel selection. Attic gun sales back to the building. A new pickup Kiosk for faster pick up today orders and new traits of merchandise throughout the building.”
According to Morris, changes to the store include a newly remodeled sporting goods section, electronics, photo lab, updated signage throughout the store and new painting in both the interior and exterior of the building. The $1.2 million remodel began on Feb. 11 and was completed on March 26.
“I’m hoping the customer should expect a better variety, faster pick up today, more opened departments for shopping space, new photo lab and electronics department,” Morris said.
While at multiple locations, Wal-Mart has been operating in Lonoke for the past 40 years and it is currently located at 322 Brownsville Loop, Lonoke.
