On Thursday, May 31, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their doors at 10:30 a.m. for their weekly community events.

President Cecelia Anderson open the program of the day by having 12 attendees recite the “Pledge of Allegiance,” and sing “God Bless America.”

Louise Crabtree gave the invocation, thanking God for our many blessings and praying for our friends and neighbors that are sick and unable to be attend. Prayers were said for Dorothy Henry, facing cancer treatments. Also for C. L. Ott, Kern Kennedy and Kay Barnes, recovering from shoulder surgery.

There are plans pending for a “fund raiser,” possibly in late July.

Dominoes were played, and also a friendly visitation, including everyone. A delightful dinner was enjoyed.

This Thursday June 7, Rick Campbell will present a wonderful program. He is famous for his songs and music. Feel free to come visit the Woodlawn Community Center at 10070 Arkansas Highway 31 north. Come early for a cup of coffee and a friendly face. Bring a dish for potluck and enjoy dinner with everyone at the center.
