On Thursday, June 14, the Woodlawn Community Center opened their doors at 10:30 a.m. for their weekly community events.


President Cecelia Anderson open the program of the day by having 12 attendees recite the “Pledge of Allegiance,” Carol McArthur gave the invocation, thanking God for our many blessings and praying for our friends and neighbors that are sick and unable to attend. Prayers were said for Dorothy Henry, facing cancer treatments. Also for C.L. Ott, Andy Childers, Kern Kenedy and Kay Barnes, recovering from shoulder surgery.


Today was the day that the attendees visited and played games. Carol McArthur blessed the noon meal. A delightful dinner was enjoyed.


This Thursday June 21, Larry Weathers and his band will present a wonderful program. Larry is famous for his songs and music. Composing many songs. We are fortunate to have this famous band play at the center. Everyone is invited to attend.
