Friday: The annual ESAU corn fundraiser for the Wade Knox Children’s Advocacy Center will be held this Friday, July 13 when they will have shuck day. Only the peaches and cream variety will be sold at $25 per bag, or $35 per shucked bag. Each bag has approximately 62 ears of corn.
Pickup times will be at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and shucked bags are in limited quantities.

Saturday: Plantation Agriculture Museum State Park will be hosting our annual Homegoods Day event this Saturday, July 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The park invites the public to spend the day at the museum and enjoy free watermelon at this family-friendly event. A local beekeeper will be demonstrating how he presses honeycomb to extract the honey and there will be a craft table for children. Craft supplies are limited, so come early and enjoy a day at the museum.

Oct. 27: Little Rock Air Force Base will have its annual Thunder over the Rock Air and Space Show on Oct. 27 - 28. Air Show performers include the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Jump Team, C130J Demo Team, U.S. Army National Guard Black Hawk and Lakota Helicopter Demo and the U.S. Air Force Academy Wings of Blue Parachute Jump Team. Tickets will be on sale for VIP seating beginning in July on www.thunderovertherock.com. There will also be several static displays, live entertainment and food vendors at the event.
