Hailey Washam, of Cabot, was one of several University of Arkansas at Little Rock students from the School of Social Work who were honored at the National Association of Social Workers Arkansas Annual Conference.

Washam won the award for the best student poster in public policy for a poster on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program’s (SNAP) impact on food pantries.

Additionally, UALR also won the competition for having the largest percentage increase in new student members for 2018.

The 39th annual conference was held March 28-30 at the Little Rock Marriott and celebrated social workers on the “Frontiers of Change” happening at the local, state, and national level.
