Charles A. “Perk” Purdue of Lonoke passed away Jan. 30, 2018 at the age of 93.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Delcye Purdue, his parents Elvis and Sena Purdue, sister Evelyn Noble and nephew Joey Noble. He is survived by his devoted friend and caretaker, Carol McDougal of Pine Bluff, who he called his best friend and “The General”, a niece and nephew of Memphis and many other friends.

Perk was a member of the Lonoke United Methodist Church and loved his Lord. He retired from Riceland Foods of Lonoke after 38 ½ years. Perk very proudly served his country in WWII in Germany where he received the Purple Heart, Bronze Metal and Good Conduct Metal. Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 3 in Carlisle Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lonoke United Methodist Church or The Wade Knox Center. Arrangement by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
