Carlisle’s Houston Garrich shot 101 at the Class 2A Boys State Tournament at Conway Country Club last week as golf season came to an end for the Bison.
“Houston played well as the round ended in rain,” Carlisle coach Jason Stewart said. “I was proud of his effort and dedication to the golf team. All members of the golf team represented the school with class and dignity.”
Grant Shelman of Hazen was medalist by seven strokes with 74.
Garrich had qualified as an individual with his showing at the 6-2A District Tournament.
The Lady Bison — Kylie Warren, Jada Ferguson and Gracie Brown — finished fourth at the Class 2A Girls State Tournament two weeks ago to mark the school’s best-ever finish. Warren shot 108 to tie for seventh and earn all-state honors.
